This serving tray makes for a great gift, AND It can be made out of scrap wood you probably already have.

This digital download includes a 6 page PDF with step-by-step instructions plus a printable template for the tray sides. It covers all the species of woods used and their widths if you want to replicate the original, or you can choose woods based on what you already have in your shop. There’s also a build video on YouTube to help you with the build process.

This is a Beginner level project

Materials

  • Several strips of hardwood 3/4” (19mm) thick x 27” (685mm) long

  • Wood glue

  • Double stick tape

  • Spray Adhesive

Tools

  • Table Saw

  • Crosscut sled or miter gauge

  • Planer

  • Drill

  • Bandsaw or jigsaw

  • Spindle sander (optional)

  • Sharp chisel (optional)

3 1/4” (83mm) X 12 1/2” (318mm) x 20” (508mm)
